BECC 2026 Community Exchange: Interactive Webinars, Journal Club, Lean Coffee
Beginning in April, BECC (the Behavior, Energy & Climate Change conference) is launching a free event series on the last Tuesday of every month to keep our community connected, curious, and in conversation between conferences. Each 60-minute session offers a different format for engagement — from informal peer dialogue to structured research discussion and expert presentations. All career stages and sectors are welcome.
Register today and keep the conversation going!
You can register for each event separately or one time for the full series. Registration details will be posted two weeks before each event.
Journal Club (April, July, October)
|
A facilitated discussion of one peer-reviewed article. Participants are invited to read the selected paper in advance (articles will be shared in advance of each meeting). During the session, we explore key insights, methodological considerations, and implications for research, policy, and implementation. The goal is not to present the paper, but to think through it — together. Best for: Deepening understanding of current research and its application. Registration: Register here. |
Lean Coffee (May, August, November)
|
A structured but agenda-free conversation about behavior change. Participants propose discussion topics before or at the start of the session, vote on what to explore, and engage in focused, time-bound discussions. There are no presentations — just thoughtful dialogue across research and practice. Best for: Sharing questions, challenges, and emerging ideas. Registration: Register here. |
Interactive Webinars (June, September, January)
|
Structured interactive presentations from leaders in behavioral science, energy, and climate. Each webinar features one or two speakers presenting current research, case studies, or emerging insights. Chat with other attendees and participate in moderated Q&As. Best for: In-depth learning and field updates. Registration: Opens two weeks before each webinar. |
