There can be no climate justice without racial justice.

BECC recognizes the need to root out racism in all its forms, not just horrific police brutality, but also institutional racism, implicit bias, and explicit racist behavior experienced by Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities daily.

The BECC Co-Chairs and Organizing Committee members are committed to enacting meaningful actions that address social injustice within and throughout all BECC activities, including our conference content, attendees, leadership, and mission.

Each of us is seizing this moment to listen, look within, and channel our collective resources to address social, environmental, economic, technological, legal, and political issues that negatively affect marginalized communities.

As always, we encourage your thoughts and suggestions.
